Scituate Real Estate

The town of Scituate, with it’s miles of shoreline and beaches, is a wonderful place to live if you want to be near the ocean AND be able to get to Boston.  Peggotty, Humarock, Egypt, Cassing, Hatherly, Minot, and North Scituate are all beaches in the town where one can sunbathe and/or take a dip in the cool ocean waters.  Sand of a different kind is available in the traps at Hatherly Country Club, Scituate Country Club, and Widow’s Walk Golf Course.  Home to two lighthouses (Minot and Old Scituate light), as well as the Lawson Tower, an old water tower with fabulous views of most of the South Shore.  Since one usually can’t play all day, and does need to work, Scituate is convenient to Route 3 via Route 123 and also has two commuter rail stops on the Greenbush line to take you into the city.  The town has re-invested in many of its school buildings and has been rewarded with top rankings of its system, in comparison to other Massachusetts town school systems.  The town is known for its “Cliffs” neighborhoods, a series of four cliffs rising high above the Atlantic Ocean, providing priceless views for the residents fortunate enough to live along the shore line.  The town of Scituate, Massachusetts is a highly desirable place to live!
