Cohasset Real Estate
Cohasset is a lovely waterfront town at the junction where Boston Harbor meets the Massachusetts Bay. The town has miles of mostly rocky shoreline and has many properties with wonderful waterviews. The town became somewhat famous when the popular movie, The Witches of Eastwick, was filmed on the town green in 1987. Tourists are drawn to the Village today by it’s quaintness and New England charm – filled with shops and places to eat, it is a fun destination. Residents enjoy the sleepy feel of the town; no major highways run through it, yet commuting options are plentiful. Route 3A heads north into Boston, there is commuter rail service, and the commuter boat is in the neighboring town of Hingham. The schools are considered excellent, with new and improved facilities. Recreational opportunities abound with two private yacht clubs as well as a public launch, Wampatuck State Park/Whitney & Thayer Woods Reservation/Wheelright Park are all located at least partially in the town, and there is a private golf course. The historic Red Lion Inn offers lodging, a restaurant, and gorgeous views for its guests. The wonderful town of Cohasset, MA is a great place to come home to!
